  1. The Mayo clinic well-being index is a validated tool for assessing physicians’ well-being as well as identifying an increased risk for burnout. The score ranges from − 2 to 9, with higher scores indicating a higher degree of distress. An “at-risk score” is an index score of two or higher, which indicates higher risk for burnout, severe fatigue, suicidal ideation, and poor overall quality of life
